EDEN CONFIDENTIAL: Ellie Goulding and Carrie Johnson get funky at 50th anniversary celebrations for JCB billionaire Lord Anthony Bamford and his wife Carole
It was Britain’s most lavish golden wedding celebration.
Boris Johnson’s wife Carrie, 36, and pop star Ellie Goulding, 37, were among those who donned a pair of baggy shoes to mark the 50th birthday of JCB billionaire Lord (Anthony) Bamford and his wife Carole, who founded the Daylesford organic food empire.
Guests walked past the Conservative donor’s collection of Ferraris and Porsches, which were parked in the driveway of the couple’s estate in Daylesford, Gloucestershire.
Seven hundred guests, including Princess Beatrice and her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, Lord (David) Cameron and Dame Joan Collins, were entertained by Sir Van Morrison and disco legend Nile Rodgers.
The theme was 1974, when the Bamfords got married.
Their youngest son, George, told guests that he came home one night to find his parents singing and dancing to Right Said Fred’s I’m Too Sexy.

Nigel Farage’s new employee would be a perfect fit
Nigel Farage’s new recruit, Caroline Edmondson, who will head his Westminster office, should fit in well with the Reform Party leader’s cosy company.
At a recent drinks reception for Speaker Sir Lindsay Hoyle, Edmondson was in striking form, groping certain male guests (including the Speaker) and slurring her speech.
She announced that she had just been drinking with Farage on the terrace. Maybe it was her job interview?

Harry ‘plans third foreign tour in a year’
Their recent visit to Colombia was criticised by local politicians for the high costs to the country, but the Duke and Duchess of Sussex appear to have acquired a taste for foreign travel.
The couple are said to be planning a third “quasi-royal tour” before the end of this year.
“That’s his world, that’s what he’s used to,” an “insider” tells Hello! about Prince Harry.
The magazine suggests that Lesotho and Botswana, where his charity Sentebale operates, are likely destinations. Their first trip abroad was to Nigeria in May.

Financial boost for King’s Foundation
Despite a ‘cash for access’ scandal, things have improved for King Charles’ charity.
The King’s Foundation’s assets rose to £141m in the year to March, £4m more than in 2023. Income was £26.1m, up £3m on the previous 12 months.
Despite the ongoing investigation into historical donations, Scotland’s charity regulators have given a positive assessment of the charity’s governance structure.
