Eddie Redmayne has revealed the secret trick he does to avoid being recognized in public as he gave a rare insight into his quiet family life.

The actor, 42, lives in London with his wife Hannah Bagshawe, 41, and their two children, Iris, eight, and Luke, six.

While trying to live an ordinary life, Eddie says he struggles to get around the city without being noticed by fans.

To avoid being seen, Eddie revealed he avoids eye contact so he can live a “completely normal life.”

He told The times: ‘Well, I know people who are withdrawing from normality, but I live in London and go around like everyone else.

‘Sometimes I get stopped for photos, but the other choice is to travel everywhere in cars, which is damn expensive and takes forever.

“You can live behind fences, or just kind of pulverize. I can live a completely normal life as long as I don’t make eye contact.

“Once you do that, people recognize you, but for me, you can be famous with whatever you want.”

Speaking of his children, Eddie shared that his daughter Iris is trying to learn how to play guitar because she is a big fan of Taylor Swift.

Hannah and Eddie met in 2000 at a charity fashion show while attending Eton College, where they struck up a friendship.

They later started dating in January 2012 after Eddie invited her on a trip to Florence during a shooting break for Les Miserables.

The couple got engaged in June 2014 and tied the knot at Babington House in December of that year.
