Ed Sheeran reveals the reason why he WON’T follow a string of stars in headlining the coveted Super Bowl halftime show
Ed Sheeran has shared the reason why he won’t be performing at the Super Bowl halftime show.
The legendary performance, which is typically watched by some 100 million Americans, has seen a host of big names in the music industry take to the stage, including Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Justin Timberlake, The Wknd and Rihanna.
Despite being as tall as his fellow pop stars, Ed, 32, thinks people don’t want to see him perform in the Super Bowl because he doesn’t have the “pizzazz” to pull it off.
Speaking Andy Cohen’s Deep & Shallow podcast on SiriusXMsaid Ed, “I think that would be the only way I would do it if I joined someone else.”
He added that it was more of an “American thing,” before remarking, “I don’t have the zest. Like all these great artists – that’s just not me. I’m not going to have dancers on stage. I’m not going to have fireworks and blah blah.

Ed then joked that he could “wear glitter” to add some extra pizzazz, before confirming, “I think I’d do it as a guest.”
Meanwhile, the publication claims that Ed’s friend Taylor Swift also turned down the offer to take the biggest stage in professional American football.
It is said that Taylor reportedly turned down the opportunity due to her very busy schedule.
