Ed Sheeran CANCELS Las Vegas concert just hours before taking stage as he apologizes to fans: ‘I can’t believe I’m typing this’

Ed Sheeran canceled his concert stop in Las Vegas on Saturday, just hours before he was due to take the stage, and apologized to his fans on Instagram.

The Shape Of You hitmaker, 32, who recently announced two shows at London’s Royal Albert Hall, was due to perform for concertgoers during his North American trek at Allegiant Stadium, just below the Vegas Strip.

However, the Grammy winner wrote a statement saying, “I can’t believe I’m typing this, but we’ve encountered some challenges loading our Vegas show.”

He then explained, “It’s impossible to continue with the show. I’m very sorry. I know everyone has traveled for this and I wish I could change it.”

Finally, he revealed that Saturday’s show would be postponed until next month. ‘The performance has been postponed to Saturday October 28 and all tickets purchased are valid for that date. I’m so sorry x.”

Allegiant Stadium had hinted at unclear issues earlier in the day, taking to X (formerly known as Twitter) to notify concertgoers that the show would be “significantly delayed.”

However, in another recent update, the stadium tweeted‘Tonight’s Ed Sheeran concert has been moved to Saturday October 28th. Previously purchased tickets remain valid for the rescheduled date.’

Some fans were less than thrilled about the devastating last-minute news, with social media users jumping to the comments section to express their frustration on Instagram.

One wrote: ‘Absolutely insane. So disappointing. I waited in the heat for almost two hours,” while another typed: “Are you paying for my hotel? Why do you keep me here for two hours?’

Another added: ‘I’ve been out and paid for the flight and hotel and been in the area for an hour… I want all my money back, this is ridiculous.’ One simply wrote: ‘That’s Bulls**t.’

One fan said: ‘We’re out here?’ No advice given?? What’s going on from Britain???’

Another explained: ‘People have been sitting outside for over an hour. EMTS transported people out. They haven’t given us any updates at all. People are crowding into the lobby, others are still waiting outside. They don’t even give out water.’

One fan stated that the situation was not the first. ‘To be honest, I bought Ed Sheeran concert tickets three times but only attended one. The first time he broke his hand. Honestly. The second time we waited three hours in a thunderstorm in the outdoor stadium and Ed was chilling in the shelter behind the stage. So I don’t know about him.’
