Ebanie Bridges has defended Russell Brand and believes the British comedian ‘deserves a second chance’ amid a series of sexual allegations against him.

Over the past two weeks, Brand, 48, has faced serious allegations from a series of women. He was charged with one count of rape and one count of sexual assault when four women made allegations against the Sunday Times and Channel 4’s Dispatches programme.

A raft of claims later emerged as women told their stories to newspapers and the BBC. At least ten have filed public claims so far.

Scotland Yard and Thames Valley Police are investigating the allegations. The comedian has strongly denied wrongdoing and says he has evidence to refute the allegations. He calls the claims a conspiracy by the ‘mainstream media’.

And Australian boxing beauty Bridges, 35, has claimed the public is ‘turning out’ despite Brand not yet having his day in court.

Brand, 48, has been accused of sex crimes but strongly denies the allegations against him

“It’s hard for Russell Brand because of his past,” said Bridges, the world bantamweight champion gamblingsites.co.uk. “He has admitted to having sex and drug addiction in the past. In his books and audiobooks, he admits to mistreating women.

‘He’s gone and he’s turned his life around, taking a step up from the person he was before.

‘I believe everyone deserves to get a second chance at life and better themselves. But unfortunately, when you do things in the past, sometimes they can come back and bite you.

‘I can’t really convict him, but he should always be innocent until proven guilty.

‘That’s just how society is, sometimes they stand out, but hopefully it will be resolved. It’s like all that drug testing and boxing, right? Everyone just jumps on it and they just tear you down.”

In the latest allegation, the Mail has seen police logs claiming the woman accused him of being a ‘sexual predator’.

She lived near Brand and befriended him in 2015 before they accused each other of harassment.

The police reportedly previously investigated and rejected her claims. Now officers are re-investigating the case.

Last week, Thames Valley Police said the woman had contacted her last week “with new information in relation to the harassment and stalking allegations.”

It added: ‘This information is under investigation and as such it would be inappropriate to comment on an ongoing investigation.’

Thames Valley Police covers Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire, where Brand – now a self-styled lifestyle and political guru – lives with his family.

He moved to the area in 2015 and bought The Crown pub in the nearby village of Pishill in 2020.

The pub went into ‘lockdown’ when the allegations emerged, with locals reporting the venue was closed off by fencing and there were security guards both inside and outside. But Brand was forced to remove the fencing when South Oxfordshire District Council said it was ‘unauthorised’ and launched a planning investigation.

Brand was contacted for comment.
