The 73-year-old actress, who played Jo Cotton on the soap opera, was taken to hospital on Sunday after suffering a serious fall.

Vicki was spotted in Essex with her husband Graham Fowler, wearing a sling to support her broken shoulder.

She looked somber as her husband opened the car door to let her out after the painful ordeal.

The star posted a photo of herself recovering in hospital after discovering she had suffered a broken shoulder in her “painful” accident.

But the actress appeared to be smiling the entire time as she posed with a sling around her arm, pointing to her broken shoulder.

Under the photo she wrote: ‘Sorry everyone, no Vix Mix Sunday this week. I had a bad fall and broke my shoulder.

‘Ouch. Bloody painful. I’m in the hospital. Hopefully I’ll be with you next week. Miss you already.’
