Another said: ‘Looking good and you look happy Tony I hope you are well x’

Playing Tyler on EastEnders for two years after arriving in Walford as Eddie Moon’s son, Tony immediately made an impact thanks to his dashing good looks and ‘short fuse’.

He was involved in an on/off romance with Whitney Dean but proceeds to cheat on her with Lucy Beale.

Time to say goodbye: Tony’s character Tyler left Walford on August 6, 2013 to work on a cruise ship with his brother Anthony, leaving Whitney devastated (pictured)

When his half-brother Michael urges him to do an unlicensed fight, Tyler agrees, unbeknownst to Tyler, Michael is fixing the fight by putting in the ring a boxer who once killed a man.

Tyler wins the fight, though he has a seizure, requiring life-saving surgery.

With Michael’s help, Tyler gets Danny Pennant out of his sports car and flees the square with his brother Anthony to work on a cruise ship.

In 2021, Tony revealed how he made a complete career switch and is now a firefighter for the London Fire Brigade.

His heroic job has seen him fight a fire in an apartment building, bakery, and waste disposal company in the past, and has said he’s been noticed by fans on the job.

He told The sun: “I was walking back to the fire truck one time and someone walked by and said, ‘Oh my God, what are you filming?’ I said, ‘No, I’m a firefighter’ and he said, ‘No, what’s wrong? What show is it for?’.

‘Other time a man’s shed was on fire, I was trying to put it out and in the middle of the job he suddenly said, ‘Weren’t you in EastEnders, mate?’.

Tony, who was working at Billingsgate Fish Market when he landed the role of Alfie Moon’s cousin, quipped, “I always knew the attention was for the show, when I was at the fish market I didn’t get that attention.”

The actor applied for the job in 2019 and said the idea of becoming a firefighter appealed to him because he could help the community and be a part of something he was “proud of” but said it’s “pretty dangerous.”
