EastEnders star Tony Discipline has completely changed his life after giving up fame on the BBC soap for two VERY normal jobs: ‘I love it…every day is different’

It’s been 10 years since he left Albert Square.

And Tony Discipline, 34, has completely changed his life away from the spotlight after leaving EastEnders.

The actor, who played Alfie Moon’s cousin Tyler Moon from 2011 to 2013, has since left acting behind and now works as a firefighter and bartender.

Tony has been at the center of several dramatic storylines during his two-year stint in the BBC soap opera, including his on-again, off-again relationship with Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty), and nearly suffered a fatal attack after a boxing match.

Tony is now candid about his career move, but isn’t ruling out returning to Albert Square if the opportunity ever arises.

He told The sun: ‘I love it. Every day is different and you feel you are helping your community. I love it.

‘I enjoyed my time there. It was an amazing chapter in my life and if the opportunity ever presented itself I would definitely be interested. Tyler’s alive, so it could happen. He left to go on a cruise with his brother Anthony. They must have gotten stuck in the Arctic because it’s been a long old cruise!’

Tony also runs and serves drinks in a traveling bar for events and weddings, where he regularly interacts with longtime fans of the soap.

He added: “A lot of people call it ‘The Little Vic’ after seeing me as a bartender and recognizing me from Eastenders.”

Before landing the role of Tyler, Tony revealed that he combined two jobs, including one at a fish market, and took acting classes at night.

He gushed that getting the call up for EastEnders was ‘like winning the lottery’ and very ‘surreal’ as he started getting recognized on the street by fans.

EastEnders fans have recently been treated to some familiar faces returning to the soap, including Cindy Beale, Lisa Fowler and Ryan Malloy, all of whom have made a comeback in Walford.

Earlier, Tony made headlines after he started dating co-star Jacqueline Jossa, who played Lauren Branning.

However, the couple called it quits after just 18 months, and Jacqueline went on to marry TOWIE star Dan Osbourne in 2017.
