Whitney Dean will receive worrying news about her pregnancy in next week’s EastEnders, while being kept in the dark about Zack Hudson’s HIV diagnosis.
In the next few scenes, Whitney is concerned when she starts spotting and heads to the hospital to be checked out, and is shocked when her doctor shares that her ultrasound has pinpointed a situation with her son.
As Whitney accepts the news, Zack admits that he is deeply ashamed of his HIV diagnosis and, despite Sam Mitchell’s urging, refuses to share his status with the mother-to-be.

Desperate to keep his distance from Whitney (Shona McGarty), Zack tries to help her by asking Kat to give him the stroller he needs without revealing that he bought it.
Unaware of her HIV diagnosis, Kat (Jessie Wallace) can’t understand why Zack (James Farrar) won’t be there for the baby, and panics when she questions Sam about his decision to stay in Walford.
When she tries to investigate further, Zack says too much and Sam is suspicious. Sam realizes that the text from the GUM (genitourinary medicine) clinic was about Zack, and he tells her that he is HIV positive.
Problems: In the next few scenes, Zack admits that he is deeply ashamed of his HIV diagnosis, and despite distancing himself from Whitney, he is urged to come clean and tell her.
Hard Times: Desperate to keep a distance from Whitney, Zack tries to help her by asking Kat to give him the stroller he needs without revealing that he bought it.
What happened? Later, Sam discovers that Zack is HIV positive, and she urges him to tell Whitney the truth.

Isolated: Stunned by the news of her baby, Whitney struggles alone because Zack still hasn’t returned her calls.

Later, Kat calls Zack and he tells her he’s going to Whitney’s house right away and while apologizing profusely, Whitney reveals the news about the baby.
