The EastEnders set was covered in snow on Friday as filming for the soap began.
Viewers of the soap believe they have already worked out the possible twists ahead, having speculated on social media whether there will be a death, a sad exit or whether various secrets will be revealed.
As fans predicted the future of some cast members, Walford was transformed into a winter wonderland when a large snow-covered tree was placed in the middle of the square and thick snow covered the ground.
Outside the famous Queen Vic, two large nutcrackers stood at the double doors of the pub.
Cars on the Albert Square set were also covered in snow and several red and gold Christmas boxes were placed under the tree.

Viewers believe there are a number of obvious storylines unfolding and all kinds of chaos could ensue on Christmas Day.
One theory is that this could be the end for soap legend Phil Mitchell, played by Steve McFadden, after his recent dramas.
From the clash with his family to his confrontation with Reiss Colwell, it’s been a busy time for Phil.
Scenes recently teased a sad storyline for the Walford icon as he was shown crying and clearly lonely, leading fans to predict a depression storyline.
One fan speculated: ‘Something to do with Phil leaving, I think.’
As for other endings, fans think villain Nish Panesar will be killed off.
His departure was seemingly confirmed earlier this year when he was diagnosed with a terminal illness.
Nish revealed he needed a heart transplant to survive, before recently adding he didn’t have long to live.

In addition to predicting Nish’s demise, some fans have wondered if we could expect a sad exit twist for Linda Carter.
The alcoholic almost died in a recent episode after hitting the bottle again, and now some fans think she could leave the show a year later after killing Keanu.
However, fans speculated that she would eventually kill again, as one fan wrote: ‘I see Linda is killing again.’; “The Six have been revealed since last Christmas because they haven’t been able to come up with a decent storyline.”

Christmas episodes on the BBC soap also tend to air big reveals and fans believe two big secrets will come out this year.
Viewers are speculating that the festive season will be when Cindy Beale and Junior Knight’s affair comes to light, causing a bloodbath.
Fans also think that Reiss Colwell’s lies and his killer secret will also be revealed at Christmas after he kills his ex-wife Debbie.
