EastEnders legend Laurie Brett has already given a sneak peek into her ’emotional’ and ‘intense’ storyline as she makes her exciting return to the soap as Jane Beale.
The 55-year-old Scottish actress, who first appeared in the soap in 2004, made her shock television comeback on Monday night.
Last week, Jane surprised Cindy (Michelle Collins) and Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) when she unexpectedly returned to the square.
But because the shocking scene ended on a cliffhanger, fans had to wait for her long-awaited full return.
Laurie left the BBC show for the second time in 2017 following her involvement in the iconic storyline Who Killed Lucy Beale?

Laurie talked about her comeback and what it was like for Jane to be reunited with her son Bobby (Clay Milner Russell), who Lucy murdered back in the day.
She said: ‘The moment Jane sees Bobby it’s almost an out-of-body experience for her. The whole world stops and all she can see is him.
“Her heart explodes with love, and everything else fades to black. It’s a beautiful moment. I think there are a few scenes that will make people cry.
“No matter what Bobby did to Jane in the past, a mother will always forgive. You only have to look at Dot and Nick to see that’s true.”
Laurie told how nervous she was about returning to EastEnders: ‘I was quite nervous on the first day and thought, “Gosh, do I remember how to be Jane?”
‘But even though I was nervous, I had plenty of time to think about it. I had the scripts ready for a while, so it was all about getting back into it.
‘When I walked onto the set and saw Adam (Woodyatt) and Michelle (Collins), and also our director Karl Neilson, who directed the live episode in 2015, plus a lot of people from the crew that I knew, all my worries melted away.
“There were so many familiar faces who were so welcoming. So after about half an hour, it was like I had never left.”

Laurie talked about her awkward storyline with Cindy and what the atmosphere was like when she saw Jane.
She said: ‘It’s a bit of a shock! They’ve never met, but Jane knows a lot more about Cindy than Cindy knows about Jane, because of all the years she’s spent with the Beale children.
So Jane is being attacked by Cindy, but she’s also a little bit indignant and thinking, “What are you doing in my house?”
“For Jane, seeing Cindy is almost like seeing a ghost. Jane’s head is spinning, which makes perfect sense considering how bizarre this situation is.”
