EastEnders’ Jay Brown was arrested for drug possession during Tuesday night’s episode as he continues to cope with the death of wife Lola.
Jay (Jamie Borthwick) has been grieving since his partner Lola (Danielle Harold) passed away from a terminal brain tumor in heartbreaking scenes.
To deal with his pain, Jay began paying sex worker Nadine, who looks identical to Lola, to let him sleep next to her.
In the new scenes, Jay was able to stay in his bed after taking the recreational drug ketamine, and Ben and Callum commented on how good it was to have him home for Lexi.
However, Callum later caught Jay leaving Nadine’s flat, and to make matters worse, the drugs fell out of his pocket.

Worried about Jay, Calum called the police station’s narcotics unit with the intention of arresting Nadine.
On the street outside, after Nadine gives Jay another bag of drugs, she spots the police and runs away.
When the cops arrived, Jay was searched and drugs were found, meaning he would be spending the night in a cell instead of Nadine.
Widower Jay is set to start taking the deadly recreational drug in the coming weeks as his life continues to spiral out of control.
Last week, BBC viewers saw him spending time with a sex worker similar to Lola.
A source told The Sun: “It is a controversial story that is bringing ketamine into millions of homes across the country.
“But the important messages here include the dangers of hard drugs.” Doing ketamine proves that Jay is a serious wake-up call. Viewers will be on the edge of their seats.’
It comes after EastEnders fans were left in shock last week when they spotted a ‘Lola clone’ on the show.
Lola Pierce died of a brain tumor in May in scenes that left viewers in tears and earned actress Danielle Harrold a series drama at the NTA.

So viewers were left doing a double take in the episode when newcomer Nadine (Jazzy Phoenix) made her soap opera debut that bore a striking resemblance to Lola.
Nadine copied Lola’s signature look with her bleach blonde hair and huge silver earrings, even mimicking one of Lola’s past outfits.
Her arrival comes as a surprise to Lola’s widower Jay Brown (Jamie Borthwick) who is struggling with his own grief.
While the pair initially bonded, he was seen running away abruptly after learning that Nadine was working as an escort to support herself during university.
Nadine tried and seduced Jay while he continued to struggle with his feelings of sadness and loneliness.
Still, fans were left wary of Nadine’s sudden appearance and striking resemblance to Lola, as well as the fact that she appeared shortly after Lola’s mother Emma (Patsy Kensit) returned to the Square.
Viewers theorized that she could be Emma’s secret daughter, which would explain her resemblance to the late hairdresser.
Fans took to X, formerly Twitter, to share: ‘Nadine is either a figment of Jay’s imagination or Emma’s secret daughter (Lola’s sister) and she does #eastenders’;
