Amy’s mental health issues continued to dominate the EastEnders storyline in Thursday night’s episode.
In the latest episode, Jack Branning had to barge into his daughter’s room after receiving a disturbing phone call from one of her friends – in the midst of her self-harming struggles.
The episode started with her hammering the door to get in until Jack found her and opened it before rushing to her bedroom.
Things have gotten worse for Amy (Ellie Dadd) since Jack’s ex-partner Denise Fox moved out of the family home after she confessed to cheating on him with Ravi.
When he burst in he found her room trashed with a broken mirror on the floor and when he tried to look at her skin she jumped away.

Later, Jack, crying and distressed, called Denise to come over and comforted Amy.
As she cried, Amy explained, “I miss her, my mom. I can’t talk about it!’ I’m sorry. I had these thoughts running through my head and I had to call someone.
“I didn’t know what else to do.”
Jack then replied, “I want to help, please talk to me.” What happened today was frightening. It breaks my heart to see you struggle.’
Later, when she was alone in the kitchen, Denise begged for Jack Bag after her rashness, but he seemed unsure despite leaning on her for support with Amy.
He replied, “I don’t know if I can get past it,” before she left in distress.
Denise was forced to open up to her husband Jack about her steamy fling with Ravi Gulati on Monday night’s episode of EastEnders.
She decided to reveal the news after 14-year-old Amy secretly used the bottle in an attempt to cope with the news that Denise was being unfaithful to her father.

Tense: Later, while alone in the kitchen, Denise begged for Jack Bag after her rashness, but he seemed insecure, despite leaning on her for support with Amy
During the episode, a tipsy Amy did something to Denise, leading Chelsea Fox (Zaraah Abrahams) to suggest she had been drinking.
Denise then discovered the evidence and a furious argument ensued when Amy revealed that she knew about Denise and Ravi’s affair.
Denise later had to approach Jack and told him, “Amy has been drinking again. I found stuff in her room. She finished that bottle of wine we ate.’
Jack was then left furious and tried to talk only to storm off to talk to Amy who had passed out in her room upstairs.
Denise quickly stopped him and said, ‘No, don’t, because it’s all my fault. It’s me who caused this.
“She’s doing it again because she found out about me…”
Speaking of the scenes, actress Diane explained, “She [Denise] knows something is wrong with Amy.
“There is a ticking time bomb in Denise from the moment she and Ravi hear the tray drop in Walford East.
“She feels like it’s all going to come out, so every little reaction from anybody she’s like ‘what? What does that mean? What do you know?’.
She is in constant suspense and just wondering when her life will blow up and completely fall apart.
“As a result, she doesn’t think rationally, but tries to function and normalize life in case there is any hope that she can get everything back together.
“The one thing she can’t control is what happens to Amy — she’s spiraled and Denise knows why. That’s the worst thing she can wear.’
She continued, “This family has deep rooted issues that we finally need to bring to the table because the kids are falling apart due to the family not confronting their issues.
What is going to happen now? He replied, “I don’t know if I can get past it,” before she left the house in distress

“Denise needs to put on her big girl underpants and tell him what’s going on so they can all face the music together, whatever that music is.”
Speaking of what will happen when the truth finally comes out, Diane added: “For Jack, all the bricks in that house just fall away and he can’t believe the woman who represented that to him, who he continued to be his rock actually, it wasn’t at all.
“There’s this look he gave me in one of the scenes and it just broke my heart.
“All this stress has built up on this guy, so he’s so vulnerable when he finds out about Denise and Ravi. There’s an absolutely amazing performance from Scott (Maslen) coming up!”
