In 2018, Jonny announced his engagement to his long-term girlfriend Chrissy.

In an instant, the happy couple beamed into the lens as Chrissy proudly showed off her gorgeous diamond ring.
Jonny shared a photo of the pair on his Instagram account and gushed about his love, writing in the caption, “She said YES… a while ago! It was obvious from the moment we met.
“She’s the perfect balance of kind, beautiful, and crazy that I’ll love for the rest of my life!” I love you @chrissy_brooke Here’s to many more years (sic)”
The duo appeared in the show Dance Dance Dance in 2017 and eventually won the competition.

Since leaving Albert Square in 2016, Jonny has been a judge on the CBBC talent show Taking The Next Step.
After Paul’s EastEnders death, Jonny admitted he didn’t want to leave the soap but believes it was the right time.
The actor said: ‘It wasn’t my choice, but I firmly believe that everything happens for a reason.
“It’s sad because I just got into it and he is [Paul] just arrived and started to get interesting.
“Like any other job, it’s always about the bigger picture and all you can do is do justice to the part.”
During Paul’s brief time in Walford, he began a relationship with Ben Mitchell, played by Harry Reid, who has since left the show to appear in the theater production Witness For The Prosecution.
On the show, Paul and Ben’s 2015 romantic storyline was once labeled “shameful” when the BBC soap broadcast their gay sex scene at a funeral home.

TV watchdog Ofcom received 48 complaints from the public after Ben was seen getting frisky with Paul in front of an open coffin containing the body of a dead woman.
Jonny defended the scene, which was ultimately rejected by Ofcom.
He told the Daily Express at the time: “I have a lot of gay friends and I feel like there’s no such thing as homophobia in the gay community, but when you spread it to the wider community, you get those reactions.”
“We get the pages and we do everything we can. We think about where we come from and we treat; there’s no point in accepting the negative comments and fighting back.’
