East Arnhem crash: Four killed after stolen car collides with an SUV in the Northern Territory

Four people have been killed in a head-on collision with a stolen car in the Northern Territory.

A stolen Toyota Corolla collided with a Toyota Prado on Gunyipinya Road near the Yirrkala community, East Arnhem, at around 7.15am on Wednesday.

Four people were pronounced dead at the scene, three from the stolen Corolla and one from the Prado, NT police said.

Another person in the Prado suffered minor injuries.

The accident occurred just half an hour after police received reports of a burglary at a property in Nhulunbuy where a gray Corolla had been stolen.

The victims have yet to be formally identified.
