New South Wales has seen its second 3.2 magnitude earthquake in less than a week.
The earthquake was measured at 2:40 am on Thursday at a depth of 10 km near Gunning.
Geoscience Australia received 39 felt reports.
It is the second earthquake to hit the state this week, after a magnitude 3.0 quake was recorded at 3.27pm on Monday in Muswellbrook, in the Upper Hunter region.
The earthquake struck at a depth of just one kilometer below the epicenter, sending shock waves through local residents.
More than a dozen residents reported feeling a tremor, with 22 people reporting it to Geoscience Australia.
There may be some light rumbling in towns such as Muswellbrook, Denman and Aberdeen.
Others further from the epicentre, such as Scone, Singleton Heights, Branxton and Cessnock, would probably not have noticed anything.
