Sometimes there is nothing as painful and joyful as being beaten to death by a tough boss. Since its early access release on Monday, players from Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero have taken to social media in droves to share memes and commiserate about how difficult Great Ape Vegeta’s boss fight is.
The Great Ape is a special form that the Saiyans of Universe 7 can transform into under the right circumstances. Basically, it transforms an already OP and seasoned fighter like Vegeta into an all-powerful gorilla Kaiju. It certainly looks impressive on the show, but now the form is so powerful that it’s inspiring memes and jokes about how hard it is to beat in the game. The boss fight started trending X on Tuesday night with over 26,000 posts about it.
My colleague who won the fight said that the Great Ape can kill players quite quickly because his beam attacks do so much damage and he has a grab attack that happens very quickly and interrupts all attempts to take out basic attacks.
It’s not impossible to beat the Great Ape, but it makes for a pretty tough challenge for an early game boss. Now people are taking moments from other TV series, like Bleach, Jujutsu Kaisenand even Dragon Ball clips to describe what it’s like to fight this monstrosity. You can watch the jokes below.
