Eamonn Holmes reignites his feud with This Morning as he makes a devious dig on the ITV show… 2 years after being replaced on the show

Eamonn Holmes appears to have rekindled his feud with ITV this week when he took a look at his former hosting gig This Morning.

The 63-year-old broadcaster appeared to prove there is still bad blood with his former employer when interacting with a fan on Twitter.

The fan shared a tweet on the platform claiming that the daytime TV show This Morning had gone ‘downhill’ since he and wife Ruth Langsford were dropped as presenters.

“Personally, I think This Morning has gone downhill since they removed Ruth and Eamonn #ThisMorning,” the user wrote.

While Eamonn shared his own thoughts by replying, “Who am I to argue?”

The TV personality also “liked” a number of other tweets slamming the show, with one reading, “Absolute crap that show since Eamonn and Ruth left, I quit it altogether.”

He co-hosted the daytime show from 2006 until August 2021, until he was ‘dropped’ by ITV and replaced by Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary.

It’s not the first time Eamonn has made his views clear on ITV, claiming last year that he was ‘not treated with respect’ during his time on the show.

said Eamon The protector: ‘I joined GB News because the options were drying up. The “wrong age”, in the “wrong stage” – at some point it becomes very difficult to get a job.

It was clear I was not ticking the boxes for ITV anymore and I was not treated with respect there.

He also accused ITV bosses of making it look like he had run away when in fact he had “no idea” why he was relieved of the spot in the Daily Mail’s Weekend magazine at the end of last month.

“No one explained anything to me,” he told Weekend magazine.

“I’m all for TV companies being able to choose who works for them, but it would be nice if you were told why you’re going.

‘They are cunning. They didn’t want to announce that I had been dropped because it would have a negative effect on the ratings, so they made it look like I had walked out on them instead of the other way around.

“They had a conversation with my agent and announced I was going to GB News, when all they had done was ask if I was interested in joining.”

Eamonn, who previously co-presented the ITV breakfast show GMTV for 12 years, added: ‘I don’t let myself be mocked as sort of a has-been. I may be manly and pale, but I’m still on top of my game.’

While wading into the 2022 ‘queue gate’ scandal, he slammed This Morning hosts Holly Willoughby and Philip Schofield for not standing in line to view Queen Elizabeth’s coffin as she lay in state following her death.
