Eamonn Holmes has announced that he will return to work as a TV presenter at GB News after four months on sick leave.
The Northern Ireland breakfast show host, 63, has been open with fans explaining his health issues and the most recent fall that broke his shoulder.
It left him needing time off to recuperate, and despite the TV veteran admitting he’s no better, he said he’s “better than he was” and hopes the job will “heal” him.

Speaking to his 764,000 followers on Instagram on Sunday morning, the host said in a sit-down video: “Hi everyone, just to say after almost four months off TV, I’m back tomorrow.”
‘Sounds like a threat, doesn’t it? No, I mean you may or may not be aware of what happened to me, I had back surgery, I had disc problems.
“Then I had surgery on my back, which affected one of my legs and caused me to fall down the stairs, which led to a broken shoulder.
‘So I had a non-functioning leg and a non-functioning shoulder and a lot of other things in between, but here I am.

‘I feel like there are so many box sets I can look at and recommend to you – I’m not better, but I’m better than I was.
And I have decided to make a go of getting back to work, on GB News from tomorrow on the grounds that hopefully work will heal me.
“Any of you who are ill for a long time or convalescing in any way, particularly at home, will know that there is a lot of frustration involved.
“For me, I think I’m going to give it a try, get back to work and hopefully get better as a result of doing day-to-day things.”
“So, on a day-to-day basis, all I need is for you to be there, GB News, with Isabel, from tomorrow, from 6 to 9:30 am, I hope you can join me.”
It comes after Eamonn admitted breaking his shoulder in a fall was a “big setback” but revealed he is improving “by the day” and staying positive thanks to messages from fans.

The popular TV star has admitted that he is looking forward to working at GB News again alongside Isabel, to bring the news of the day to viewers.
Eamonn also insisted that he is “determined” to continue speaking out on behalf of all people who suffer from chronic pain.
The former This Morning presenter recently broke his shoulder after a nasty fall at his Surrey home, just weeks after undergoing spinal surgery to threaten chronic back and leg pain.
Isabel previously said it has been “heartbreaking” to see the pain her colleague has endured in recent months.

Eamonn and Isabel have hosted the breakfast show on cable news channel GB News since January 2022 after being relieved of his hosting duties on This Morning.
