Eagles’ Tyrie Cleveland left the field with a neck injury in troubling scenes for Philadelphia receiver vs. Cleveland Browns
Eagles outside Tyrie Cleveland was caught midway through the third quarter of Philadelphia’s preseason game vs. Cleveland evacuated from Lincoln Financial Field.
Despite the incredibly troubling first appearances, the Eagles revealed that Cleveland had suffered a neck injury and, crucially, “has movement in all his extremities.”
The former Bronco looked like he was briefly knocked out after getting up high for a jump ball against Browns defensive back John Kelly Jr., but landed hard in the ground with his head/neck area.
Cleveland lay relatively lifeless before players and staff surrounded him.

The Houston resident was fitted with a neck brace and placed on a stretcher before leaving the field on the cart.
Amid the wildly upsetting scenes, players from both teams huddled around Cleveland and wished him well.
WPVI TV reporter Jamie Apody shared a video with X of Eagles fans performing the Mexican Wave as Cleveland was treated on the field before being taken off.
“Not the time folks,” Aody wrote over the accompanying text video. ‘I love you. I do. But not the time.’
The 25-year-old has played 23 career games – all for the Denver Broncos – before being signed to the Eagles’ exhibition team in January.
Cleveland was drafted from the University of Florida by Denver in the seventh round of the 2020 NFL Draft.
He played 10 games in his rookie season for seven in his sophomore campaign and six during his final season with the AFC East franchise.
During his three-year pro football career, Cleveland has eight receptions – from 17 goals – 91 receiving yards.
