Eagle-eyed viewer claims Seven stole the Sunrise logo from another iconic Australian institution – so can you identify it?

Sunrise is one of the most recognizable brands in Australian television.

And now an eagle-eyed viewer has claimed the inspiration behind the Channel Seven breakfast show’s logo came from a similar one used by Australia Post.

Both logos feature a crescent moon graphic.

In the case of the top-rated show Seven, the brand offers two thick curved lines in yellow and orange, and a half circle, representing the sunrise.

Meanwhile, the Australia Post logo, when viewed from the side, has an almost identical curved graphic in red.

It comes after Sunrise continued to dominate the ratings in the ‘Breakfast TV Wars’.

In September, Seven beat arch-rival Today on Channel Nine as the most-watched morning show of 2023 – even though the year had three months to run.
