Eagle-eyed Farmer Wants a Wife fans notice bizarre details in the early promo photo
Sharp-eyed fans have noticed a bizarre detail in a promotional photo released late last year to promote the 2023 season of the hit dating series.
Viewers took to the FWAW Instagram page to point out that the series initially spurred seven farmers in search of love – which was reduced to five when the show aired.
They pointed out that the promo still features profiles of the five farmers featured this season, as well as Dylan and Lachy, who were cut before the series premiered.
Fans were divided on what happened to potato farmer Dylan and farmer Lachy and discussed their theories on Facebook.
“Apparently they couldn’t find a match for them,” one fan suggested and another said, “They must have pulled out of the show before it aired.”

Channel Seven cleared up the confusion in a statement, saying they always planned to have only five farmers on the show, and the other two were just backups.
“It is common for productions to have backup cast members for various reasons. If a reserve farmer’s situation remains the same, he will certainly be considered in the casting of future seasons,” they said.
It comes after FWAW came to a dramatic end on Sunday for contestant Lorelei Bates, who passed out after being rejected by farmer David McMahon.

Lorelei hoped to win David’s heart during the episode, but she was rejected instead, with the country boy telling her she was “incredible” but not for him.
“I came here to find love and pave a future on the farm and it breaks my heart to have to tell you… I fell so hard for someone else,” he said.
Looking visibly pale, Lorelei began to wobble on her feet, slipping into David’s arms after his statement.

‘Oh sorry. I really don’t feel well,’ she confessed in a whisper, before closing her eyes clearly unwell.
In the end, David chose Emily, a 26-year-old special education assistant from Queensland.
Meanwhile, Farmer Matt singled out Olivia in a much less dramatic way, telling her, “I think I’ve known for a while that I’ve fallen in love with you, and I’m really glad I finally get to say it.”
