EA opens Skate to console players through a closed playtest

Skate is expected to be released in early access this year, but console players can get an early look when console playtests begin. Electronic Arts HAS opened registrations for a closed console testing period that is still ongoing – to gain access Skate, you must register on the Skate website. Yet not everyone comes in.

Electronic Arts has done several playtests in the past, including as far back as 2022. Early playtests such as Skate‘s are not the norm in the video game industry; Electronic Arts has been quite open about the development of this title. “We are still in the development phase skate. and we bring insiders like you into the game much earlier than is the norm in our industry,” a representative wrote on the Skate page with frequently asked questions about insiders. “We are incredibly passionate about skating. and we want to make sure we build the best game possible, which is why we want you to play and provide valuable feedback ahead of a global launch.”

The new one Skate The game was officially confirmed in 2020 and in 2021, Electronic Arts announced that it had formed a new studio called Full Circle to create the game. The last Skate game was released in 2010 by Electronic Arts’ Canadian studio Black Box in 2013, preceded by Skating 2 in 2009 and Skate in 2007. Black Box has since been merged into Electronic Arts Canada.

The last big one Skate The update was from last year, when Electronic Arts and Full Circle discussed art, world-building, gameplay mechanics, story, and character customization in a past blog post. Part of that update included a live-action video set in the world starring I think you should leaveby Tim Robinson. The video debuted at Summer Game Fest and brought players along Skate‘s world of San Vansterdam and the introduction of corporate overlords M-Corp.

There is still no official release date for it Skate‘s early access release.
