E! News host Catt Sadler reveals she’s had a facelift at age 48
Former! News presenter Catt Sadler has revealed she had a facelift at age 48 and is sharing the results with fans online.
The presenter is known for speaking the truth about personal matters – such as in 2017 when she walked away from her dream job of 12 years after finding out that her male co-presenter Jamie Kennedy reportedly made twice as much as she does.
Now she pulls no punches again, this time discussing the face, neck and eye lift surgeries she underwent last month.
She wasn’t worried about being judged for it, because “one of the best parts about getting older is that you don’t care what people think of you.”
“It’s not like I did it because I can’t get a job,” she said Enchantment. “It’s not that I did it because I want my boyfriend to think I look 35.” None of that was a consideration.’

The It Sure Is a Beautiful Day podcast host said she wanted the life-changing plastic surgeries to feel better “to look in the mirror and feel good.”
And this was Sadler’s first time going under the knife, though she admits to using fillers, including Botox, microneedling, and laser treatments.
Sadler delves into her podcast into the process of aging and being middle-aged and she’s thought deeply about her motivation for the surgeries.
Our asses sag, our faces lose volume. How do you feel about that as a woman? How does that affect your relationships?’ Sadler thought.
“Especially in the last few years, it started to annoy me when I looked in the mirror more than ever before,” she continued.
‘Why do I look so tired? Or why do I look sad in photos? It didn’t really matter that I did hot yoga. Or that I eat very well. Or take my supplements. I do so much to live a healthy life, but the expression of that didn’t come across in my face,” she added.
So she booked a consultation with Dr. Steve Kim, a Beverly Hills plastic surgeon, to see what her options were — but she didn’t expect to qualify for a facelift.
“I told him what was bothering me, especially the sagging lower jaws in photos. It was like everything around the lower half of my face and neck was clumping together,” she said.
‘And then he said – which surprised me a little – that I could consider a facelift, a necklift and, while I’m at it, my eyes. I was like ‘Oh, shit!’ I didn’t really expect him to say that could fix that. But I also don’t know why I was so naive,” revealed the television presenter.
She was surprised she was old enough to need a facelift, but Dr. Kim told her there was no better time than now, as in 10 years she would have more signs of aging and the result would be more drastic and less natural.
The entertainment reporter talked to her sons, her boyfriend, her mother and her friends in her decision-making process.
“It really bugs me that people look at social media and it’s presented in a way by a lot of public figures that what they look like is because they’ve been walking or sleeping for a month or I’ve had a little laser treatment if it’s a bigger engagement than that.’
And she wanted to be open about her process, because “Truth is everything. I just feel like you can’t lose if you tell the truth. And that applies to everything.’
Sadler revealed that the surgery and recovery were incredibly painful, even though she has a very high pain tolerance.

“I pushed two kids out. I like tattoos. I’m not afraid of pain. But I was really miserable that first week. Really miserable. So that was kind of scary because I really didn’t feel comfortable,” she said.
And she also shared that her doctor told her that some women get depressed after a facelift because they don’t recognize the person in the mirror.
“It’s a long game. You can come back to life, but don’t expect full results for even six months to a year. So there is an anxious feeling, a slightly depressed feeling. And I think I experienced that a little bit. It’s not an uplifting time, let’s put it that way,” she explained.
Despite everything, Sadler said she’s happy and feels “like myself,” even though she’s still healing a month after surgery and can’t eat solid food yet.
