Dylan Mulvaney takes out the trash in LA after ‘living the good life’ at NYC’s Plaza Hotel
Dylan Mulvaney was cast down on Friday amid the backlash over her collaborations with Nike and Bud Light β she only broke cover to take out the trash.
The transgender influencer, 26 β whose affiliation with Nike to promote its women’s sportswear led to criticism of the brand β had a fresh face as she took out the trash at her LA home.
She also shrugged off controversy with messages to her 12.5 million followers about her recent stay at New York City’s iconic Plaza Hotel, where she was showered with personalized treats and enjoyed room service with champagne.
Mulvaney was photographed outside her home on Thursday night wearing a Calvin Klein denim jacket and white slacks. She wore her hair in a messy bun and freshly polished fingernails for the dump, pausing to pick up some litter and send a text from her cell phone.
Mulvaney has not commented on the reaction to her recent deals. Nike appeared to address the issue with an Instagram post urging its followers to be “kind” and “inclusive” β but without directly referring to Mulvaney.

Mulvaney returned to Los Angeles after spending time in a luxury suite at the historic Plaza hotel.
Her suite is estimated to cost about $1,500 per night and includes a grand master bedroom with a king-size bed, a luxurious bathroom with a soaking tub and separate walk-in shower, and a spacious living room.
She checked into the Plaza in March β which was famously used as the backdrop in Home Alone 2 β while enjoying New York City high-life and partying with Broadway stars. It’s not clear when Mulvaney left, but she posted photos and videos of the hotel last Wednesday.
The Plaza has not responded to questions about whether the stay is part of a partnership with Mulvaney.
She also posted a video to TikTok on Thursday of an evening of stars who will appear alongside her at the Miscast gala at the MCC Theater on April 10. ‘.

She will appear on the show after her ‘Day 365 Live!’ performance in March to celebrate one year since she made her transition journey public.
A clip of her with other stars from Miscast showed her with Tony Award winners Ben Platt and Annaleigh Ashford.
Earlier in March, Mulvaney shared a video tour of her suite at the Plaza and said she dreamed of becoming a concierge at the hotel as a child. She gushed about the “glamor area” for hair and makeup, luxurious bathroom and bedroom, and concluded by saying, “I think this might be the best week ever.”
The hotel also sent her a platter of desserts with a handwritten card addressed to “Miss Dylan Mulvaney.”
Mulvaney also shared a video of the hotel’s Eloise suite – which is based on the 1955 children’s book Eloise, about a young girl living in a room in the Plaza. She dressed in an “Eloise costume” in the video.
A description of the suite on the hotel’s website says, “Here everything is pink and white.” Just the way Eloise likes it! Her clothes are in the closet. Her favorite books, toys and dolls are on the shelves. Her bed has a sparkly pink headboard and a zebra rug on the floor.’
Mulvaney also shared videos of the hotel’s Eloise suite, which was designed to match the room where the title character of the 1955 children’s book Eloise stayed.

Top athletes are boycotting Nike over the Mulvaney deal, and musicians Kid Rock and Travis Tritt have led the backlash on the Bud Light partnership.
College swimming champion Riley Gaines accused Nike of disrespecting women through the Nike deal.
Gaines, an outspoken advocate for women in sports, told DailyMail.com that Nike made a “sad mockery of what it means to be a woman” by recruiting Mulvaney to promote its women’s sportswear line.
Hours later, Gaines was ambushed by screaming trans activists and assaulted after a Saving Women’s Sports speech at San Francisco State University.
Gaines led criticism of the deal, as several former Olympians also said the brand “markets their products by obliterating women.”
The Nike posts came days after Mulvaney unveiled her Bud Light tie, including several photos and videos of the beer shared on Instagram.
Some people said they would no longer drink the beer or buy other products owned by the parent company, Anheuser Busch. Kid Rock even shared an angry video of him shooting a box of Bud Light with an automatic rifle.
The Plaza Hotel is one of New York’s most recognizable buildings, and the cost for its most exclusive suites can exceed $3,000 per night.
The hotel was featured in Home Alone 2 and even featured a cameo from Donald Trump
Mulvaney had announced the partnership in a series of videos posted to social media over the weekend to mark the NCAA March Madness tournament.
Kid Rock, 52, said after shooting the cans, βF*** Bud Light, and f*** Anheuser-Busch. Have a great day.’ Other conservatives said the brand was pushing “gender propaganda.”
Country music star Tritt said he would remove Anheuser-Busch products from his tour bus. Beer drinkers in Tritt’s hometown also said they would no longer opt for the drink.
A bartender at Georgia’s Rusty Barrel told DailyMail.com that the impact immediately followed the backlash from the country stars.
She said: ‘People were all complaining about the campaign and what it represented.
βEarly in the week we had the impact right away, they saw the campaign and the comments from Kid Rock and Travis, and they’re not drinking it anymore, period.
Customers of Kid Rock’s Big Honky Tonk and Rock n’ Roll Steakhouse in Nashville praised the country icon for allegedly removing Bud Light from the bar. Some visitors said they were “impressed” that the star “put his money where his mouth is”.
