DWTS 2024 finale: Live scores, results and reactions from the judges as the winners are crowned

Dancing With the Stars concludes its 33rd season with a super-sized finale on Tuesday that lasts a whopping three hours.
Fans were stunned last week when none of the top five contestants – Chandler Kinney, Ilona Maher, Danny Amendola, Joey Graziadei and Stephen Nedoroscik – were eliminated.
The finale will also feature special appearances from Mark Ballas and Derek Hough, along with the stars’ final appearances.
Thanks to strong fan support for many of the five finalists, it is anyone’s guess who will win this year’s Mirrorball Trophy.

Fans praise Stephen and Rylee
Fans took to X (formerly Twitter) to praise Stephen and Rylee’s redemption quickstep, set to the Friends theme.

Carrie Ann gives them a 10 while Derek gives them a 9 and Bruno gives them a 10 for a 29 out of 30 for their redemption quickstep. Votes from last week are combined with this week.

Fans are not happy with the judges’ summaries
In the first half hour of the DWTS finale, all three judges – Carrie Ann Inaba, Derek Hough and Bruno Tonioli – gave a breakdown of each finalist’s season. Fans were unimpressed, to say the least.
Danny is ‘squeezed’
Danny Amendola said he was ‘juice’ for the finale as he was seen in a tuxedo in preparation for the opening dance number

Hosts Julianne Hough and Alfonso Ribeiro confirmed that there will be an opening number for all five finalists, although they decided to open with these review segments first.

Fans were not happy with the start of the DWTS season 33 finale, with many complaining that there was no first dance with the finalists. @Lindseylou2396 claimed this was ‘the worst start to a final I’ve ever seen’, and others agreed.
Ilona’s secrets are not revealed
Ilona Maher was not ready to reveal her ‘secret freestyle’ that she was planning for the final. As she appeared to reveal the details to Alfonso Ribeiro, a blender drowned out her voice.
Joey feels confident
Joey Grazadei said he’s confident going into the finals, but he’s more focused on “having fun” since it will be the last time he gets to dance with Jenna Johnson.

Before the final performances, the judges look at the finalists’ previous performances, with Carrie Ann Inaba looking back at Chandler Kinney’s dances.
