Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson Reveals ‘Survivor’ Mum Ata, 74, Was Involved In A Horrific Car Accident But Is ‘Okay’: ‘If You Still Have Your Mom And Dad Make Sure You Hold Them Tight’
Dwayne Johnson said his mother, Ata Johnson, is doing well following a car accident she was involved in Wednesday night in Los Angeles.
On Thursday, the 50-year-old superstar posted on Instagram an image of a red Cadillac vehicle with significant damage to the passenger side.
“Thank God she’s okay,” the wrestler-turned-actor said of his mother, 74, in the post’s caption. ‘The angels of mercy watched over my mom when she was in a car accident last night.’
The Black Adam star added that she will “survive and continue to be tested,” noting obstacles she has overcome previously.
“This woman has survived lung cancer, a difficult marriage, a head-on collision with a drunk driver and a suicide attempt,” said the A-list actor. “She’s a survivor, in ways that make angels and miracles are real”.
Johnson thanked authorities at the Los Angeles Police Department and the Los Angeles Fire Department “for being so loving and focused” and “for staying on the phone and talking to me about everything.”
Johnson, whose father Rocky Johnson died in January 2020, urged his followers to show their parents love.
“I have one dad left, so if you still have your mom and dad, make sure you hold them tight, because you never know when you’re going to get that 3 am call we never want to get,” she said.
