Dwayne Johnson has been appointed to TKO’s board of directors, the company has confirmed.
TKO, a premium sports and entertainment company, made the biggest move in its history late last year when it became the umbrella company of UFC and WWE through Endeavor, which bought the WWE from Vince McMahon.
Johnson is one of the most popular WWE stars of all time and recently returned to the company, appearing to sooner or later become real-life cousin Roman Reigns.
And the chances of that happening seem more likely than ever now that the man himself is involved in the management of the company, with WWE also inking a services and merchandise deal with the artist, giving him full ownership of ‘The Rock’ . name in the future.
TKO said Johnson’s appointment reflects “long-term value and strong performance for shareholders through strategic growth initiatives for both UFC and WWE.”
