Dwayne Johnson attended a photo call for the upcoming superhero movie Black Adam, which took place Thursday at the SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills.

The 50-year-old performer appeared to be enjoying his time at the event, being joined by several other cast members from the DC Comics movie.

The superhero movie, in which the former professional wrestler will play the titular antihero, will be widely released later this month.

Johnson wore a multicolored and patterned button-up shirt during his time at the event.

Centered around the antihero of the same name, Black Adam follows him after being released from thousands of years of captivity in the modern world.

Development of the project began in the mid-2000s, although shooting did not begin until April of last year.

The superhero-focused feature film then had its official world premiere in Mexico City on October 3.

While the debut date has been pushed around several times, Black Adam is currently slated for a wide release in the United States on October 21.
