Dustin Poirier has shared a gruesome image of his swollen left foot after being hospitalized with a nasty infection.
The former UFC interim lightweight champion tweeted a photo of his infected foot Tuesday afternoon, with the caption: ‘Wut da hellllll.’ Later in the day Poirier wrote I would leave the hospital tomorrow.

The condition known as staph infection is a dangerous bacterium that athletes can become infected with in the locker room or through physical contact with other athletes who have it.
Fortunately, the ‘Diamond’ seems to be responding well to the antibiotics and could be released from the hospital on Wednesday.
As he lay in a hospital bed in his native Lafayette, LA. Poirier has been active with his thumbs, engaging in a feud with Conor McGregor before issuing a warning to former UFC star Nate Diaz.
McGregor, who hasn’t been back in action since breaking his leg in their trilogy fight last July, responded to Poirier’s comment in a now-deleted tweet, asking: “Did you finish filming Roid House and are you ready for me to see you?” slap again?”

The Irishman replied: ‘Y’all, I’m in Amsterdam fucked up like a van. You weren’t just hurt buddy. You were scared hurt don’t forget.
I’m coming back to put you in a box. Full of it. I send you off this earth. Permanent. Stay waiting for the house on the road too, friend, and the lady will love it.
After the pair’s feud, former UFC welterweight Nate Diaz chimed in, saying, “they both get passed out all the time,” with a sleepy emoji to add.
Poirier was quick to respond, urging Diaz, a current free agent, to return to Dana White’s UFC.

‘Come back for a fight and I’ll beat the crap out of you, bro.’
McGregor has been rehabbing his injury, after having a metal plate inserted during surgery last year, while filming a remake of the movie ‘Road House’ alongside Jake Gyllenhaall.
Reacting to the news of Poirier’s hospitalization, McGregor posted: “Take care quick you scruffy panties,” and then “Poirier has gonorrhea spreading ahahahaahahah he’s doomed.”
The Irishman won the first fight between the different pair before Poirier’s most recent victories.
Poirier will be aiming for a quick recovery, having defeated Michael Chandler by submission in their clash at UFC 281 last month.
A fourth fight against McGregor would be something fans would enjoy, given the unsatisfying resolution of his trilogy.
The Louisiana native soundly beat the Dubliner in their rematch before a broken leg ended the third fight, despite Poirier’s superiority up to that point.
McGregor and Poirier met twice in 2022 with the former breaking his leg in the July fight.
