Dukes of Hazzard alum John Schneider married Paul Sorvino’s widow Dee Dee on Tuesday, 17 months after the death of his wife Alicia.

The 64-year-old actor/musician married Sorvino, 55, in Las Vegas after both their partners passed away in the past two years.

Country singer Alicia Allain Schneider’s third wife died of breast cancer in February 2023 at age 53while the Goodfellas actor passed away in July 2022 at the age of 83 from natural causes.

“Big news, big news everyone! DeeDee and I got married last night in Vegas!” John wrote on his Facebook on Wednesday.

“Those of you who have been riding with me for the past year and a half can understand that I never dreamed that I would ever be happy again.”

He continued, “I’m here to tell you that you are stronger than you think! And those people who have ‘moved forward’ are definitely not just watching from above… but are also giving us the necessary little pushes… and the occasional kick in the ass to do the right things!”

The announcement comes less than a week after the Smallville veterinarian took to social media this week to say his late wife Alicia’s ashes and wedding ring had been stolen.

He shared a photo of a small urn, writing to his followers: ‘This is one of the things that was stolen from my house. Alicia’s ashes. It came with a small urn of ashes… A silver cross with Smile and Alicia on it.’

Schneider added: “And my wedding ring, for God’s sake.” I wonder if they’re going to give away my wedding ring and cross soon? Really disgusting.’

In June, John announced that he was in a relationship with Dee Dee, calling their relationship “a miracle.”

During his appearance on Grace Begins, the podcasthe said he had found love again and that he “wouldn’t be here” if he hadn’t had a new girlfriend.

He confessed that he was ‘ready to give it all up’ and found ‘the idea of ​​dating’ ‘repulsive’ after the ‘really tough’ loss of his wife, but that changed when he met his new love.

“This past year was pretty amazing. But the year before that was really tough,” he shared with hosts Cathy Cardenas and Catherine Sutherland.

“But God is watching. God sent a widower to a widow.”

The announcement came after he gave an exclusive interview to DailyMail.com during his first appearance in Hollywood since the devastating death of his wife.

A tearful Schneider spoke about his battle with the loss of his wife, his music and film partner, to cancer in February.

Schneider, best known as Bo Duke from the iconic American action series, is determined to dedicate his life to helping others deal with their grief, even though he admits he will never get over his own loss as he walks “a terrible path.”

He said part of his healing process after Alicia’s death was writing a new album, We Are Still Us, to “honor her,” even though it was a tough ordeal for him.

Schneider spoke during his first on-camera interview since her death at the cabaret show Drinks With Dee Dee Sorvino in Hollywood, where he supported his now-wife.
