It comes as Harry dropped new ‘truth bombs’ at the Royal Family during his latest media blitz for his memoir.
In an extraordinary interview, the Duke told ITV’s Tom Bradby that he was not “tough” on Camilla in his book, in an interview that viewers said contained several contradictions, including his denial of earlier allegations that the Royal Family is racist.
There was further disbelief when Harry told Mr Bradby that anything he says to William in the future will remain “private”, despite using his memoirs, TV interviews, a Netflix documentary and Oprah to tell him what his family told him and Megan behind closed doors. He also said that he doesn’t want to hurt his family.
Bradby was visibly stunned, as were millions of viewers, by his grating reversal of earlier incendiary claims that an anonymous royal had raised concerns about his son Archie’s skin color.
The host brought up Oprah’s 2021 interview with Meghan, saying, “You accused members of your family of racism.” But Harry snapped back, ‘No, I didn’t. The British press said that.’
He also told his friend Bradby that his family was “complicit” in the “pain and suffering” inflicted on his wife Meghan, comparing them to “abusers”.
He suggested that they helped “smash” his and Meghan’s reputations, forcing them to move to California and have “shown no willingness to reconcile.”
Harry also said there were “a lot of stereotypes” about Meghan after she was introduced to the royal family, because she is an “American, divorced, biracial actress.” But in a contradiction interview he later insisted that the royal family is not racist, even though the allegation is at the center of Oprah’s interview of the Sussexes in 2021.
The duke said comments about his son Archie’s skin color were “unconscious bias”. Bradby seemed taken aback by the response, while experts said Harry clearly didn’t understand the term he was now using.
Harry told him, ‘You talk to every other mixed-race couple in the whole world, and you’ll probably find that the white side of the family has either openly discussed it or secretly discussed ‘What will the kids look like?’
‘And that’s part of a bigger conversation that needs to be had.
He added: ‘The difference between racism and unconscious bias, the two things are different.
“But once it’s recognized or pointed out to you as an individual or as an institution that you have unconscious bias, you have an opportunity to learn and grow from that to be part of the solution rather than part of the problem.
