The Comancheros’ new boss runs operations from a base in Turkey with an estimated $100 million fortune, while the former club boss’s glamorous ex is seen for the first time since he was ‘locked up’

  • Duax Ngakuru has reportedly replaced Mark Buddle, who is in prison.
  • New videos have surfaced of Buddle’s glamorous ex-girlfriend, Mel Ter Wisscha
  • Ngakuru is in Turkey, from where Buddle was deported to Australia last August.

A senior bikie based in Turkey has taken the reins as the new ‘Supreme Commander’ of the Comanchero bikie club.

Duax Ngakuru, 42, who is estimated to have a fortune of more than 100 million dollars, has taken over. Mark Buddle, who was deported from Turkey to Australia in August.

The former boss is accused of importing more than 160kg of cocaine into Melbourne with an estimated street value of $40m.

Leadership change comes as Buddle’s ex-girlfriend Mel Ter Wisscha appeared on social media for the first time since he was released from a Turkish immigration detention center over a visa issue.

Clips posted to TikTok show her and close friend Leah Simone vacationing in Greece in November with the pair laughing and dancing.

Ngakuru runs Comanchero operations from Turkey along with Hakan ‘Big Hux’ Ayik, who fled Sydney while on bail on drug charges in 2010, the daily telegraph informed.

The couple went to school at James Cook Boys Technology High School in the southern Sydney suburb of Kogarah.

Hakan Arif, known as ‘Little Hux’, is also closely related to Ngakuru.

Arif escaped bail in Dubai before there was a chance of deporting him to Sydney to face drug charges.

Ngakuru is rarely photographed, but a new image shows the New Zealand-born bikie boss living large on a yacht next to a large Turkish flag.

He has previously been photographed in a restaurant with Ayik and another former Comanchero chief, Mick Hawi, who was shot dead in Sydney in 2018.

Hawi also attended James Cook Boys Technological High School.

Ngakuru briefly managed the Comanchero club in 2010 before he and his wife Reynee mysteriously left the country for Dubai, before finally settling in Turkey.

Buddle led the gang during that time, but also left Australia for Dubai around 2013 with his girlfriend Mel Ter Wisscha and their young children.

The mother-of-two was recently held in a Turkish detention center for 38 days over a visa issue following Buddle’s arrest by Turkish agents.

Just a few days ago, he appeared on social media for the first time since his release, posting upbeat dance videos under the caption ‘locked up’.

It is understood that he has since returned to Dubai.

Ms. Simone has since deleted her TikTok account.

Buddle had been living in Northern Cyprus and in August was arrested and taken to Turkey before being deported to Australia.

He is accused of importing around 160kg of cocaine into Melbourne in May 2021.

An overseas underworld source told the Daily Telegraph that Ngakuru “will be worried after what happened to Buddle because he’s a New Zealand citizen while Hux is Turkish, so he’s probably safe.”
