The 30-minute show, filmed at Maida Vale Studios, also sees Dua chat to presenter Clara Amfo about her new album Radical Optimism.

“It’s so fun to have new songs to perform, new stories to tell and a whole new world to delve into.

Radio 1 is also hosting a special Dua Lipa Day on Tuesday 7 May with a range of content, starting with Radio 1’s Live Lounge show.

Dua’s latest album Radical Optimism will be released on May 3. The artist said she landed on the title after being introduced to the concept by a friend.

“It struck me, the idea of ​​moving gracefully through chaos and feeling like you can weather any storm,” she said in a press statement about the upcoming disc.

The first single, Houdini, was released earlier this year. Training Season, debuted at the Grammys in February.

The artist who broke up with French director Romain Gavras, 42, at the end of 2023, sings about what she is looking for as a partner in the disco hit.

“I was talking about this today with one of my dancers because she was going through a breakup,” revealed the One Kiss singer, who is currently dating British actor Callum Turner.

“When I was single, I didn’t want it to go away,” she said of the disappointment that comes with ending a relationship.
