Dua Lipa holds hands with Donatella Versace on the Cannes runway to promote her collection

Dua Lipa looked fabulous as she took to the runway in Cannes with Donatella Versace on Tuesday to promote her brand new collection with the brand.

The singer, 27, smiled proudly as she held hands with the Italian fashion designer, 68, as they walked the runway together.

Their sweet display of unity came when they debuted their co-designed La Vacanza collection in Cannes during a scenic runway show.

Showing off her collection, Dua flaunts her incredible figure in a £5,360 black dress with bold cut-outs across the bodice and crossover halterneck straps.

She gave herself a few extra inches in a pair of coordinated black heels and accessorized with eye-catching Medusa stud earrings, which cost £550.

Dua styled her lustrous raven locks straight over her shoulders and opted for a smokey eye makeup palette for the occasion.

She looked proud of her new collection as she flashed a warm smile and waved to the crowd as she walked sweetly hand in hand with Donatella to close out the show.

Donatella looked just as glamorous in a one-shoulder dress embellished with colorful iridescent panels.

She added some height to her body with a pair of black buckled platform shoes and let her statement outfit do the talking.

The fashion legend draped her golden locks loosely over her shoulders and finished off her look with a touch of smoky eye shadow.

A slew of glamorous models could also be seen taking to the catwalk to show off items from Dua and Donatella’s co-designed collection.

They debuted colorful ensembles, from pink suits to sparkly dresses and trendy bralets and miniskirts, as they strutted their stuff through the middle of a pool.

The lavish collection, with items ranging from £160 to £18,480, is inspired by the holidays and Dua modeled some of the pieces in a series of promotional photos shared on Instagram on Tuesday.

The title of the collaboration line, La Vacanza, means vacation in Italian and has been dropped just in time for the summer season that is just around the corner.

In the first black and white photo, she wore a long-sleeved butterfly top that showed off her toned midriff and can be had for $1,525, according to the brand’s official website.

Dua also slipped into a matching $1,450 midi tie-dye skirt as he posed outside and sipped from a martini glass.

The black material features white polka patterns along with colorful butterfly motifs throughout the fabric.

In the second photo, Lipa posed on a pastel pink couch while wearing a one-piece butterfly swimsuit, which costs $1,150.

The Cold Heart singer leaned forward slightly to rest her elbows on her thighs and stared at the camera. She held a $2,025 tote bag with the word “Versace” written on the front in white letters.

To complete the overall summer look, the beauty slipped into a pair of $675 open-toed heels. Dua accessorized her look with an assortment of butterfly bracelets and earrings that matched the theme of some of the pieces in the collection.

Her long dark brown locks were combed back into a high ponytail, letting the locks fall down behind her.

The performer later made an impression in a backless $5,475 Medusa cardigan dress as she posed outside with the warm sun beating down on her in an additional black and white shot.

The halter-style ensemble clung to her physique as she turned away from the camera and looked over her right shoulder for a sultry glow.

Adding another photo to the carousel of snaps, Dua donned a form-fitting, colorful dress with thin straps that wrapped around her shoulders.

The dress had a plunging V-neckline and was enchanted with flashy jewellery, such as a large necklace. The collection contains a variety of items, such as dresses, swimwear, wallets, as well as shoes and accessories.

In the post’s caption, the singer wrote for her fans, “LA VACANZA ~ a collection co-designed by yours truly and @donatella_versace” and later gushed “WHAT A DREAM!!!”

The pieces were first shown at a Versace fashion show during the Cannes Film Festival on Tuesday, with models such as Irina Shayk wearing some of the items in a waterfront mansion, according to Harper’s Bazaar.

Shortly before the star-studded runway show began, Dua talked about the collection at a press conference, according to the outlet.

“We wanted to make the holiday wardrobe and something that I will wear all summer, but also something that other people will love and enjoy,” the One Kiss hitmaker said, adding that she began sketching for Donatella last fall .

She then gushed about her collaboration with the renowned creative director of the Italian brand. ‘We had such a common language, we could just exchange ideas with each other.’

Donatella, who has led the brand since 1997, said the collection embodies “freedom, fun and confidence.”

In an earlier statement, the designer expressed her enthusiasm for the close collaboration with Dua. ‘I’ve always been inspired by a collaborative design process.’

“It was really exciting working with Dua on this collection and I love the dynamic between us. Dua is strong, fearless and free and her creative vision is exceptional,” she continued at the time, per Harper’s Bazaar.

The singer also gushed about her collaboration with Donatella in a statement of her own, revealing how “excited” she was.

“She and I have formed such a strong bond over the years and I am so grateful for the support I have received from her and all the team since the very beginning of my career” and that the experience “is a dream been’ .’

The Grammy winner is no stranger to the world of Versace and has had a front row seat at numerous runway shows for the brand, such as the recent Fall/Winter 2023 presentation in March, which notably featured a number of other celebrities such as Miley Cyrus and Demi Moore.

Dua also walked the runway for Versace’s Spring/Summer 2022 show during Milan Fashion Week.

The star has kept busy during her time in Cannes, France, not only debuting the Versace collection but also stepping out on the red carpet with her new boyfriend, Romain Gavras, on Friday.

In March, Dua was confirmed to be in a relationship with the French director, and previously dated Anwar Hadid, who recently shared cryptic messages on Instagram after debuting the budding romance at the annual festivities.

The beauty has also counted down the days until the release of her upcoming track, titled Dance The Night, which will be available on Friday, May 26.

The song is part of the soundtrack of the new live-action Barbie movie starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling. Great Gerwig’s film will premiere in theaters on July 21.
