Dua Lipa dropped the F-bomb just minutes after performing her opening set at the opening night of the 2024 Glastonbury Festival on Friday night.
The Houdini hitmaker, 28, was left verbally stunned by the reaction she received from the crowd after performing her first song of the night.
The hitmaker, who was headlining the Pyramid Stage for the first time, shared her nerves and excitement by shouting ‘What the f***’ as she addressed the crowd.
Emotionally, Dua said: ‘Glastonbury, what the f***! I can not believe this. I’ve dreamed about this all my life and I can’t believe I’m here, here with you. I’m so happy to be here with you tonight. Thank you very much.’
Dua showed off her best dance moves, showed off her daring outfits and impressed the audience with her breathtaking voice on stage.

However, some fans were unimpressed by the foul language and expressed their anger en masse on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Some wrote: ‘Lovingly Two Lipas – Yes, honey! Until she said the f-word and I switched to Goodnight Sweetheart – absolutely no reason for that kind of language.
‘I Don’t really need to see #Glastonbury2024 anymore – was just interested in the performance! It will end up being the best of the weekend – I don’t see how it can be beaten. (May be a bit offended in the language!!)’
Others defended Dua, claiming she never swore, writing: ‘I don’t think she said that. I think it was a swear word. #DuaLipa #Glastonbury2024.’
Dua danced a medley of hits and performed several acrobatic dance moves in a studded leather bodysuit as she was cheered on by thousands of people at Worthy Farm.
At one point, Dua stood at the front and close to the crowd as she belted out her new hit Physical.
Dua turned Glastonbury into a festival-turned-nightclub for an hour and 45 minutes, singing hits like Houdini, Cold Heart and even a remix of New Rules.
The audience was captivated by Dua’s two-hour performance, which featured live vocals on many songs.
Dua said emotionally: ‘Glastonbury, what the fuck! I can’t believe this. I’ve dreamed of this my whole life and I can’t believe I’m here, here with you. I’m so happy to be here with you tonight. Thank you so much.’

‘Smashed it dua lipa’ and ‘Dua Lipa’ have actually been quite good. I only know One Kiss, but her voice is better than I thought it would be. I look forward to seeing her in the Sunday Afternoon Legend in about 25 years.”
‘This Dua Lipa and Kevin Parker collaboration is magical’ and ‘crushed Dua Lipa’.
‘Dua Lipa devoured her #Glastonbury set, full of hits, LIVE vocals, outfit changes, non-stop dancing and incredible production. She is a modern music LEGEND’.
“More dua lipa please…loved her.”
‘Dua Lipa is absolutely amazing. Really a good Pyramid headline, this.’
However, some fans wondered if she was lip-syncing during her performance as her lips were sometimes out of sync with the music.
Those in attendance at the set called the possibility of the One Kiss hitmaker not singing live “horrible.”

Going to X, before Twitter , one person wrote, “It’s a shame #DuaLipa can’t sing live. Don’t stand up for glasto and mime. ‘Waste.’

‘Dua Lipa brings an amazing mime set’.
‘Dua Lipa has some pretty catchy songs, but I’m pretty sure she’s lip-syncing. Sounds like a live vocal, but I’m just not convinced she’s singing it live “right now.”‘
