Dua Lipa, America Ferrera, and Taraji P. Henson lead celebrities on Time100 list of most influential people in the world
Dua Lipa, America Ferrera, Taraji P. Henson and Elliot Page led the big celebrity names on the Time100 list.
Time Magazine released their annual list of the 100 most influential people in the world on Wednesday.
Dua and Taraji were also two of the stars with special edition covers, along with NFL superstar Patrick Mahomes and leader of the Russian opposition movement Yulia Navalnaya.
A tribute has been written for each of those on the list, as Dua’s was written by American singer and songwriter Patti Smith and Taraji’s was written by Mary J. Blige.

Both the 28-year-old Albanian singer and Taraji P. Henson were featured on the covers of the annual issue
America’s was written by Blake Lively while the trio was joined by fellow celebrities like Oscar winner Da’Vine Joy Randolph (written by Uzo Aduba), Michael J. Fox (written by Ryan Reynolds) Kylie Minogue (written by Chris Martin), Jeffrey Wright (written by Octavia Spencer), Elliot Page (written by Raquel Willis), Fantasia Barrino (written by Taraji) and Colman Domingo (written by Lenny Kravitz).
In addition, Leslie Odom Jr. (written by Kate Hudson), Alex Edelman (written by Phoebe Waller-Bridge), James McBride (written by Ethan Hawke), Burna Boy (written by Angelique Kidjo), 21 Savage (written by Burna Boy), Jack Antonoff (written by Maren Morris) and Maya Rudolph (written by Amy Poehler).
The annual gala for the list will take place next week on April 25 in New York City.
A primetime television special will air on ABC at a later date on May 12, and the full slate can be seen at Time’s website.
In the pages of the magazine, Dua opened up about her transition into the world of acting with her roles in Barbie and Argylle this past year.
The 28-year-old Albanian singer played the role of Mermaid Barbie and sang Dance the Night for the 2023 hit film Barbie.
In Argylle, she made a cameo as LaGrange, playing the role of Henry Cavill’s character, Argylle’s love interest.
She said TIME Magazine that she calls these two ‘little baby roles’.

She told TIME Magazine that she calls these two “little baby roles.”
“I loved being on set,” the singer-turned-actress said. “I like the idea of embodying a different character and being given an assignment.”
“I also love it when I go to a photo shoot and I can completely change my look,” she said. “It gives me a different character.”
About her role in the Barbie movie, she added, “I loved being in the movie because it was so exciting to be part of something as special as this, with an incredible cast.”
