‘Drunk’ woman on New York City bound train berates German tourists and tells them to get out of ‘our country’

A woman, who appeared drunk, was caught hurling xenophobic comments at a group of German tourists on a New York train.

Shocking footage taken by another passenger and posted to social media this week shows the ‘Karen’ towering over a group of tourists as they chatted in their seats.

‘Are you German?’ the blonde woman asks before aggressively adding, “What did you say, tell me what you said.”

The woman, who has not yet been identified, becomes increasingly aggressive before shouting: “Let’s not let immigrants take over our country… how about you get the hell out of our country.”

The woman, wearing jeans and a light green strappy top, who social media users have dubbed a ‘Karen’, is calmed down by her concerned boyfriend.

The ‘Karen’ towers over a group of tourists as they chat with each other in their seats.

“Brie, don’t do this. You could be arrested,” he pleads, as he takes her arm and tries to convince his partner that the group of men were “having a private conversation” and not trying to start a conflict.

“I love you, but get off me,” the increasingly upset woman tells her friend as she continues to berate the tourists.

“Stop it now, sit down, or I’ll never talk to you again,” he threatens.

The tourists seemed to take the incident in good humor, with only one getting out of his seat and appearing visibly irritated before calmly sitting back down moments later.

It is unclear what led to the confrontation and what comments were made to the blonde woman.

After the woman returns to her seat, the friend tells her, “I’m an immigrant too, you know that well.”

“That interaction embarrasses me for her soon-to-be ex-boyfriend,” one social media user wrote on Reddit.

“She’s drunk and her nasty true character is now out for all to see,” said another.

Another viewer tried to find the lighter side, writing: ‘It’s quite a lovely cultural exchange. German guys put crazy American Karen on a train. She got Germans who found her bizarrely hilarious.’

New Jersey Transit told DailyMail.com they were investigating the incident but could not immediately verify whether it was one of the line’s trains

New Jersey Transit told DailyMail.com they were investigating the incident but could not immediately verify whether it was one of the line’s trains.

It is the latest in a series of disorderly incidents involving public transportation in the US.

In August, Tiffany Gomas went viral for storming an American Airlines plane after her outburst about an invisible man.

The now infamous Dallas resident, 38, was filmed telling passengers: ‘I’m f*cking leaving and there’s a reason…. I’m telling you right now that that motherfucker over there isn’t real and you can sit on this plane and you can die with them or not. I’m not going to do that.’

The marketing executive has since apologized in a video posted to social media, saying: “My life has been blown up. It’s scary. Things go viral and everything changes.”

‘First and foremost, I want to take full responsibility for my actions.

‘They were completely unacceptable. Whether I was sad or not, I should have been in control of my emotions, and that wasn’t the case.

“My swear words were completely unnecessary and I would like to apologize to everyone who was on that plane, especially those who had children on board.”

She said she couldn’t imagine “going through this and trying to explain to your child what the hell just happened.”
