‘Drunk’ lawyer arrested at California restaurant for abusing staff is TV star who promotes ‘non-toxic living’
A drunken lawyer who was filmed being dragged out of a California restaurant by police officers after assaulting staff has turned into a TV star and bed influencer who claims to promote a “non-toxic life.”
Shyla Smith was arrested by Visalia police officers after she vandalized the Bravo Farms restaurant in the California city.
The incident was captured on camera and shared on social media by fellow diner Kay Breann, who has since made her antics go viral.
Visalia police have since confirmed to DailyMail.com that she was arrested for trespassing and resisting arrest following the incident on Monday. Further details about her arrest have not yet been released.
Smith, 44, owns the blanket company Muslin Comfort and calls herself an advocate of “non-toxic living” on her Instagram.

Two police officers arrived on the scene and approached Smith, who was later arrested for trespassing and resisting arrest.
But little of that philosophy was evident during her cringe-worthy behavior at a California restaurant.
In the video, which was first shared on TikTok, Smith can be heard telling fellow restaurant hostess Kay Breann that she is a lawyer.
According to her LinkedIn page, she attended Ventura College of Law before joining Farmers Insurance as an attorney.
In 2018, she started her own company, specializing in an all-natural, breathable duvet cover, and called it Muslin Comfort.
She regularly appears on TV shows to promote her business and, according to public records, has had seven run-ins with the law, some of which involved traffic incidents.
During the confrontation on Monday, Smith can be heard repeatedly saying she is Breann’s attorney, who glares at her defiantly.
Breann tells her, “You will not intimidate anyone at my expense. You will not. You better do it right.’
An unknown man recording the video says, “What a disgrace to your business, if you are a lawyer.”
Smith responds, “How embarrassing for you,” to which the man looks her outfit up and down and hilariously says, “We can do this, with those shoes.”
Two police officers are then seen on the scene immediately approaching Smith.

According to her LinkedIn page, she attended law school at Ventura College of Law before joining Farmers Insurance as a trial attorney.
Breann tells her, “You need to go,” before leaving. Smith continues her tirade, telling the officers, “This is inappropriate, this customer service is inappropriate.”
The man continues to record and comment, saying, “Your son of a bitch is going to jail, you psycho b*****. How embarrassing. Dirty, dirty, dirty.”
In a follow-up video, Breann adds that the woman was indeed arrested by officers at the restaurant, much to the delight of the other diners.
In her video, she gave some background information, claiming that the woman had been drinking at the restaurant bar and was asked to leave after staff cut her off.
Breann added: ‘She started taking it out on the staff and the customers. She was checking people over their shoulders, she was reporting herself and claiming that [the restaurant] was dirty.
‘[Claiming] She’s a lawyer, she’s going to close the place down, she’s just annoying and a nuisance.

‘I remained seated at my table until the situation escalated and she became increasingly irritated and aggressive.
‘And when she was asked to leave by a staff member, she attempted to physically attack that person.
‘So the staff was scared. You could tell they were worried. They were worried that, oh my god, something was going to happen to me, and that’s where I stepped in.
“The police came, grabbed her, arrested her, everyone in the restaurant cheered and clapped for them. They were phenomenal. They took care of the situation.”
She added that people had been messaging her about Smith and that she had done something similar before at other institutions.
