A major police raid has allegedly netted cops over 5kg of cocaine and methamphetamine, plus a cache of steroids, guns, ammunition and over $1.5 million in cash.

Four men spent the night behind bars after detectives uncovered the large number of raids in the inner-west of Sydney as part of a money laundering investigation in New South Wales.

The police allege 2.3 kilograms of cocaine and $24,000 in cash were found when officers stopped a sedan in Strathfield on Sunday.

A search of a nearby hatchback allegedly uncovered another 550 grams of cocaine and 140 grams of ecstasy.

Two men, aged 23 and 28, were arrested before Organized Crime Squad detectives raided two properties on a nearby street in Strathfield.

They allegedly discovered another $1.5 million in cash, two kilograms of methylamphetamine, two liters of methylamphetamine oil, almost 700g of cocaine and cannabis during the raid.

Photos released by police show that the illicit drugs were allegedly hidden in Louis Vuitton boxes, backpacks and duffle bags or stored in resealable plastic packages.

Dozens of bundles of $50 and $100 bills were seized.

Two hydraulic press machines and other drug manufacturing equipment, ballistic vests, ammunition, steroids and driver’s licenses were also reportedly found.

Three vehicles were also seized.

Two more men, ages 18 and 35, were arrested during the raids.

A firearm was part of the extensive haul of items seized during the raids on two properties.

Police also discovered rounds of ammunition hidden in sports bags.

The four men were charged with supplying a large commercial quantity of prohibited drugs.

Three were also charged with other felonies, including knowingly dealing with the proceeds of crime, involvement of a criminal group in criminal activity, and three counts of knowingly dealing with the proceeds of crime.

The men were denied bail and were due to appear at Burwood Local Court later on Monday.

The strike force was established to investigate money laundering and other illicit criminal activity throughout the state.

About $1.74 million in cash discovered during the raids was wrapped in bundles of $100 bills.
