Driver sparks furious reaction after sharing merge-cutting hack to avoid being stuck in traffic

  • Podcast host Keith Joyner posted an Instagram video of a highway merger-cut hack last week
  • He drove past several cars before ending up in the left lane
  • His video has been viewed 1.2 million times and is going viral on Reddit

Reddit and Instagram users are outraged after a Philadelphia driver revealed how he saved “15 minutes of travel time.”

Podcast host Keith Joyner shared an Instagram video on February 15 that showed him driving down a two-lane road next to a highway.

Joyner drove past several cars at a stoplight before sneaking behind one of the vehicles at the front of the left lane.

His Instagram video racked up 1.2 million views in a week and was posted to the mildly annoying community yesterday by a Reddit user.

Joyner, who has nearly 100,000 followers on Instagram, has posted several videos of himself driving on Pennsylvania’s roads and highways.

The podcast host stated that he taught everyone “one more thing” as he got off the highway.

Joyner was driving in the right lane next to a long line of cars turning left at a traffic light.

He also wanted to turn left, so he decided to perform a hack that one Reddit user has seen happen in real life “too many times.”

“You have to act like you’re going right, but when you get to the front… If you see a little opening early on, you dive right in,” Joyner said.

As he entered the turning lane, the cars in front and behind Joyner did not honk.

Even though what Joyner did wasn’t technically a crime in Pennsylvania, social media users were still angry when they saw the podcast host driving.

Reddit and Instagram users have blasted Joyner for his actions, calling what he did along the way an ‘ad*** move’

“God I hate people who do this,” one Reddit user wrote.

“These are the same people who throw an absolute hissy fit when anyone tries to merge legally.”

A few Reddit users commented that what Joyner did was an “ad*** move.”

‘Amazing how he gives instructions as if he has just found a life hack. Bro, we all know how to be a ******, we don’t need no lessons. Most of us choose not to,” another Reddit user wrote.

Instagram users have also been angry with him, with one Instagrammer even writing that it was a “clear sign of a selfish, entitled, narcissistic person.”

However, a few Instagram users who didn’t disapprove of Joyner admitted that they ride the same way, with one person even writing that they do it “every day.”
