CCTV has captured a driver’s trail of destruction after he allegedly crashed his ute and lost a tire on a winding road.

A man believed to be in his 50s allegedly crashed into a parked car on Sydney’s northern beaches shortly after 7pm on Friday night.

The driver allegedly continued for two kilometers on steep, winding roads before losing his left front tire and driving the rest of the way home on three tires.

The man’s car can be heard on security cameras as its tireless wheel scraped on the road, alerting nearby residents to the commotion.

“It was deafening, we heard it from so far away,” a resident told Nine.

Another claimed that a missing tire wasn’t the only damage.

“There was smoke coming from the back of the car, it was just unreal,” he said.

The man is believed to have been on his way home from a local hotel when the alleged incident occurred.

The amount of alcohol he had drunk, if at all, is being investigated as he had already returned to his home in Narrabeen when the police arrived to give him a breath test.

Police were called after the initial accident after a car matching the car’s description struck a 4WD in Narrabeen and failed to stop.

New South Wales Police confirmed to Daily Mail Australia that they are investigating the incident and reviewing security camera footage.

Officials have made a number of inquiries as well as follow-up information provided by the public regarding this utility. [ute]’ a spokesperson said.

‘There have been no reports of injuries.’

The man has not yet been charged.
