Driver, 23, receives as many as 25 speeding fines in just 19 DAYS after moving countries

A driver who had only recently moved to the country in search of work has been received a prison sentence for accumulating more than twenty speeding tickets in just 19 days.
The 23-year-old Frenchman had been in Norway for just over a month when he was caught speeding 25 times between February 6 and 25, local media reported.
The worst offense occurred on February 20, when he was caught behind the wheel of a Kia driving more than 120 km/h in a zone with a speed limit of about 60 km/h, a court ruling said.
The man “poses a danger in traffic”, the Oslo court said in documents seen on Monday.
According to daily newspaper Aftenposten, most of his offenses were recorded by fixed speed cameras, the existence of which he did not know.

The man had his sentence reduced by three days, from 24 to 21, because of his full confession.
But he will have to do it for a while without his driver’s license, which the court has suspended for a year.
According to the report, speeding fines in Norway increased significantly last year The localwith most rising by around 30 percent.
Meanwhile, across the border in Finland last year, one of the highest speeding fines in the world was handed out.
Multimillionaire businessman Anders Wiklöf was fined €121,000 (£104,000) for driving 30km/h over the speed limit.
Speeding tickets in the country are calculated as a percentage of the offenders’ income.
