Drew Barrymore isn’t buying Christmas gifts for daughters but will celebrate holiday another way

Drew Barrymore won’t be rushing this holiday season looking for Christmas gifts for her daughters. That’s because she’s not going to buy any.

That may make the actress, 47, sound a bit like a Grinch, but Drew says she gives her daughters a different kind of gift in the form of travel and experiences.

In an interview with entertainment tonightthe Drew Barrymore Show host – who shares Olive, 10, and Frankie, eight, with ex-husband Will Kopelman – explained her choice.

“I don’t give them gifts, which I think at their age they don’t love, but I tell them, ‘I think we’ll remember the place and the photos and the experience and that’s what I want to give you,'” she said.

“They get a lot of stuff throughout the year, so I’m not like some weird, strict, cold mom who says, ‘You don’t get any presents!'” she added.

“I feel that a better gift would be a memory of life. I prefer to invest [in that than in] a dollhouse or something like that. Everything balances out and is fine.

The Charlie’s Angels star said she’s happy with her current plan, but realizes she might not be able to keep it up in girl farming.

“I like to look at the holidays through a comedic and realistic lens that we’ll have a lot of different Christmas stories,” the Poison Ivy star added.

Which one do you want to follow and build as a tradition? Instead of, “This is my tradition and I’m stuck in it.”

A gift that keeps on giving in the popularity of his talk show, which is currently the fastest growing show on daytime television, which he launched in 2020.

‘There were so many growing pains and learning curves. It was very humbling,’ adding, ‘This is very good news and we are very grateful.’

The Never Been Kissed actress, who has been single since her divorce in 2016, has started dating again, and any interested suitors better be on their best behavior.

‘When someone says, ‘He’s so hot.’ I’m like, “Yeah, but is he well behaved?” Because that will make him 10 times more attractive or not.

There’s been a second and a third [date] with someone, which is a big deal,” the “Stand In” actress said. “I feel like it’s usually one and done, because I look at his behavior and I’m like, ‘This is non-negotiable. This is not a match.'”
