Dramatic moment CNN star Scott Jennings slams his own network for taking Trump’s remarks out of context

CNN analyst Scott Jennings accused the network of allowing comments by Donald Trump to be repeatedly taken out of context to stoke fear and anger.

The senior political commentator alleged that CNN had Kamala Harris twist Trump’s statements in a way that was “intended to radicalize his critics.”

Jennings made the comments during a panel discussion a day after a suspected second assassination of the former Republican president, who claimed that Democrats’ rhetoric puts him in danger.

According to the pundit, Trump’s comments that there will be “a bloodbath” in the economy if he loses the election are an example of how the left has misinterpreted his comments to stoke fear.

Several of Trump’s critics ignored the fact that Trump spoke of potential economic carnage, claiming he was instead warning of violence that could erupt on the streets of America.

It’s said by every Democrat who works for or around the party [Harris’] “Every day on this network and every other network there is a campaign going on,” Jennings said. “The carnage is being repeated every day.”

CNN’s Abby Phillips then jumped into the discussion, saying, “Vice President Harris has misrepresented and unfairly distorted the issue by saying there would be a bloodbath if he were elected.”

But Phillips added: “She didn’t say there would be a bloodbath if Trump were elected.”

Jennings persisted, saying, “The ‘massacre’ thing is a pillar of the Democratic campaign against Trump, just like ‘dictator’ and ‘eliminate the United States Constitution.’

Vice President Harris took Trump’s comments about a “bloodbath” out of context during the presidential debate earlier this month.

She said: ‘Donald Trump, the candidate, has said that there will be a bloodbath in this election if this and the outcome of this election don’t go his way. Let’s turn the page.’

Trump gave this speech in Ohio in March, in which he talked about the impact of offshoring on the U.S. auto industry and his plans to raise tariffs on foreign-made cars.

Regarding the car industry, he warned of a “bloodbath” if his proposals are not implemented.

“If I don’t get elected, it’s going to be a bloodbath for the entire — that’s the least of it. It’s going to be a bloodbath for the country,” Trump said.

During the same debate, Trump claimed he “probably got shot in the head” because of the Democrats’ rhetoric.

“I probably got a bullet in my head because of the things they’re saying about me. They’re talking about democracy. I’m a threat to democracy. They’re the threat to democracy,” Trump said.

Trump survived an assassination attempt at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania in July.

On Sunday, he was apparently attacked again while golfing near his golf club in Florida.

The suspect in the incident, Ryan Wesley Routh, camped outside the golf course in West Palm Beach for nearly 12 hours with food and a gun, according to court documents filed Monday. He is accused of lying in wait for the former president before a Secret Service agent opened fire, foiling the potential attack.
