In an order, the judge ruled that Vardy should pay 90% of Rooney’s costs.
Rooney incurred total costs of over £2 million, but £350,000 of these had already accrued before trial in May, so they were removed to produce a final figure of £1,667,860.
Vardy was ordered to pay £800,000 of the cost bill by 4pm on 15 November.
