Shocked LAPD officers came to the rescue of a woman giving birth on the floor outside of a gas station.
Dramatic bodycam footage shows the moment cops discovered the woman at a gas station on the intersection of Van Nuys Blvd and Sherman way in LA.
Two officers were called to reports of a woman in distress at around 5am on August 31 and heard her screaming.
The video shows the woman, believed to be in her 30s, screaming in pain close to an ice machine near to the convenience store entrance.
LAPD Officer Juan Sierra can be heard asking ‘Are you having a baby?’ before saying ‘Oh God, she’s giving birth’ and calling for assistance.
Footage released by the LAPD show Sierra helping to delivery the baby, as the mother asks, ‘is he okay?’

Officers were called to the gas station and found the woman screaming on the floor outside of the convenience store
Both cops rush to pull the newborn out, with a minute going past before the baby starts to cry as they wait for the ambulance.
The mother can be heard panting and crying, and the cops say, ‘come on baby, breath, breath breathe.’
She and her baby boy were transported by LAFD to a local hospital, and both are understood to be doing well.
Officer Sierra told ABC ‘it happened so fast’ adding that they did nto have time to wait for the ambualnce to arrive

Speaking to ABC 7, Officer Sierra said: ‘It happened so fast. Knowing that I was able to contribute in bringing a life to this world — I mean that alone is incomparable.’
The LAPD said in a statement: ‘The Los Angeles Police Department is proud to highlight extraordinary moments in everyday police work.’
