The acclaimed music artist is known for betting huge amounts of money on major sporting events, with UFC a popular backer, and Sunday’s Super Bowl LVIII was another occasion where Drake made a huge bet.

Kansas City Chiefs claimed their second consecutive Super Bowl title and third in five years after defeating the San Francisco 49ers in a chaotic overtime finale.

NFL fanatic and global pop star Taylor Swift – girlfriend of Kansas City star Travis Kelce – was in Vegas to attend the event and got a shoutout from Drake as he put his money on the line.

“I can’t bet against the Swifties (Taylor Swift fans),” Drake said when explaining why he picked the Chiefs to beat the 49ers.

It is now the second year in a row in which the Canadian has correctly guessed the winner of the Super Bowl.

Last year he won just over £500,000 when Kansas City beat the Philadelphia Eagles 38-35 in Arizona.
