Drake’s security guard was shot in the arm outside the rapper’s mansion after he was lured outside by a car blaring loud music, according to local reports.
The unnamed security guard, 48, is fighting for his life after he was shot outside the rapper’s $100 million mansion in Toronto on Tuesday in what police said was a drive-by shooting.
The man apparently came from behind a high access road on the north side of the house after noticing a car driving back and forth while music was playing, sources told police. Toronto Sun.
Suspects in the car reportedly opened fire after the security guard came out, hitting him in the upper body.
The guard remains in hospital on Wednesday with serious life-threatening injuries.

The security guard apparently came from behind a high entryway on the north side of the house after seeing a car driving back and forth while it was blasting music.
“We have individuals who clearly carried out this shooting who were seen in a vehicle. I have no description of that vehicle,” said Toronto Police Insp. Paul Krawczyk, adding that video of the shooting had been recovered
The incident took place in the upscale Bridle Path area shortly after 2am on Tuesday, when the unnamed man was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after being found ‘outside the gate of the house’.
Toronto police told DailyMail.com they could not confirm whether the rapper was home at the time of the shooting.
It comes amid his ongoing viral feud with rival rapper Kendrick Lamar. Although officials have not indicated any connection to the shooting, Drake is said to be “cooperating” with investigators.
A police perimeter was set up around the mansion after the victim was found in the street with serious injuries shortly after 2 a.m.

The victim is said to have been ‘standing outside the gate of the house’ when he was struck by several gunshots and found in the street with serious injuries.
About an hour earlier, a man was shot and a woman was wounded in another shooting in Oakwood Village, about ten miles away. It is unclear whether the two shootings are related.

At a press conference Tuesday, Detective Inspector Paul Krawczyk said there is no evidence at this time that the shooting is related to Drake’s viral feud with Lamar, and the motive remains unclear.
“It’s so early in the investigation that we don’t have a motive at this point,” he said.
The shooting suspect fled the scene, police said, and investigators have not yet released a description of the shooter or the vehicle.
Discussions are taking place to stage police interrogations at the massive mansion, the Toronto Sun reports.

The shooting in the early hours of Tuesday is not the first time the home has been involved in serious incidents.
On March 30, 2021, a woman was arrested outside the mansion after allegedly attacking a security guard with a knife.
