Drake puts another HUGE bet on fight sports and could bank £1m with his Anthony Joshua vs Francis Ngannou punt – but will his ‘curse’ strike again?!

Drake has placed a huge bet on the winner of Francis Ngannou’s fight with Anthony Joshua, which could see him win more than £1million.

The rap superstar continues his streak of big bets on sporting events, wagering six-figure sums, but his track record in martial arts doesn’t always pay off.

British heavyweight Joshua is trying to move one step closer to becoming a three-time world champion, but must first find a way past the hard-fought ex-UFC champion Ngannou.

The fight between two of boxing’s most powerful fighters could go either way at the showdown in Saudi Arabia, but Joshua is somewhat tipped as the favorite due to his long history in the sport.

That suggestion has been overwhelmingly rejected by Drake, who is backing Ngannou to emerge victorious by placing a £478,000 bet on him.

The duo will headline the aptly named Knockout Chaos event in Riyadh and Drake will be rewarded with an outrageous payday of £1.48million if Ngannou beats Joshua by any means.

Posting his bet to his 146 million Instagram followers, the music icon simply said: “Betting on a scary man.”

However, Drake has suffered huge losses before when betting on sporting showdowns, with fans labeling his bet as a ‘curse’.

The 37-year-old lost more than half a million pounds when he wrongly supported Sean Strickland to defend his UFC middleweight championship against Dricus Du Plessis in January.

He also lost £430,000 when Israel Adesanya suffered a shock defeat to Strickland in the octagon and had previously bet £700,000 on Logan Paul to beat Dillon Danis in the boxing ring.

Fans joked online that Drake has continued his ‘curse’ by backing Ngannou to beat Joshua on Saturday night, with one commenting on X saying: ‘If you bet on Francis tonight, Drake just cursed him with this.

Another added: “Drake didn’t even have to bet. Joshua would still embarrass Ngannou. Boxing school coming up’.
